Assess, compare, & improve your yacht’s environmental footprint
The Yacht Environmental Transparency Index (YETI) is the industry-wide method to voluntarily assess and compare yachts based on their environmental performance. As the result of a powerful joint industry project, YETI’s ultimate goal is to reduce the yachting fleet’s ecological footprint in the operational phase of its life cycle by offering a reliable reference. It provides both the yachting industry and owners with a clear understanding of their vessel’s current environmental impact, the sources of that impact, and serves as a valuable decision support system for implementing new, future-proof solutions.

Why YETI?
For shipyards, designers, engineers, captains and crew, YETI offers a reliable tool to measure and compare the footprint of existing yachts, optimising their operational performance, and taking the information learned back to the drawing board.
For service providers (refit yards, management companies, etc.) YETI can deliver a zero-baseline assessment that can be used to develop yacht service packages, resulting in improved YETI scores and concrete upgrades for client.
For suppliers, there is an opportunity to develop sustainable technology that will be recognized by YETI and used to improve a yacht’s score. YETI also recognises yacht owners for their efforts and investments in more environmentally-friendly vessels.
